Our half term nature club is a great opportunity for children to get out into nature and learn new skills. The group sessions will centre on child led, imaginative play. However, the children can enjoy activities such den building, bug hunting, basic bush craft skills, foraging, nature arts & crafts. Maybe your little one wants to get creative in the mud kitchen, chill with a book in the bell tent or get cosy in a hammock. There is something for everybody.
Children will be required to bring a packed lunch in a sealed, named container. Camp fire snacks such as hot chocolate, marshmallows, pancakes or popcorn will be available during the session. It is important therefore, that we are advised of any dietary requirements or allergies.
Clothing and footwear appropriate to the Forest School environment, activity and weather are to be worn at all times. To minimise the risk of insect bites & stings, we request that children wear long sleeves and long trousers whatever the weather. Even on the sunniest day, the wood is cooler under the tree canopy. To minimise the risk of misplacing or losing items. we suggest that children bring an additional set of clothing in a named bag.
