The “Loo with a View”

Every wild space needs a throne… and ours comes with a view!

Tucked away in a quiet corner of Hopyard Wood sits our pride and joy — the Loo with a View. This isn’t just any old toilet… it’s a treebog! A beautifully simple, low-tech compost loo rooted in permaculture principles.

Perched on a raised platform above a compost pile and lovingly surrounded by nutrient-hungry trees, our eco-loo gives back to the land with every visit. It’s clean, private, and surprisingly scenic — a truly wild wee!

Even if you’re not bursting for the loo, most visitors can’t resist sneaking a peek at our woodland wonder. After all, who wouldn’t want to say they’ve experienced a toilet with twigs, views, and a whole lot of love?

Due to the structure of the toilet (pictured) access is via wooden steps & handrail and therefore, sadly is not wheelchair friendly.
